Due to Mother's Day being soon, I wrote a mother inspired post :)
I've always known my mom does so much for me and my family, but I hadn't really ever given much thought to it. I was grateful for everything she did for me, but sometimes I forgot to show my gratitude.
Lately I've had the fine opportunity of learning part of what it's like to be a mother. (Not because I have children to take car of, or because I have a husband....) but because of my recent family situation. Life lately has given me a new insight into what my mom does for me, and it has made me so grateful.
My mom used to grocery shop for my family and her parents every week, but lately I've started doing it. My mom still gets the lists together, but I do the shopping. I don't hate it, but I'll be honest in saying it isn't the most pleasant thing in the world. Yet, every week, you can find hundreds of mothers grocery shopping. I also cooked dinner this week, and learned a lot there too. My mom is so good at cooking dinner, and getting everything done at the right times. I only cooked pizza with a packaged (just add water crust) some salad, and some mixed canned fruit, and it took me 1 hour 30 minutes!!
This post isn't intended to "show off" or glorify myself, but to thank my mother, as well as all the mothers reading this. Thank you, for doing everything you do, often without receiving a thank you. Mothers make life possible, and you all deserve the biggest thank you ever.
THANK YOU!!!!!
P.S. Fall. Friends. Music. Texting. Facebook. What do they have in common? :) haha, memories in Chantel's brain, thats what. :)
Very insightful. I am sure every Mom will appreciate this, but especially your Mom. Thank YOU for helping my sister and my mother, I appreciate you.
